VELVET MOON go there own way on Fleetwood Mac inspired ‘The Hour of King Kong’
CHANNELING a prime Fleetwood Mac vibe, Stockholm’s dreamy indie trio VELVET MOON have shared latest single and video, ‘The Hour of King Kong,’ (via Argle Bargle Studios).
“The song evokes a powerful, almost mythic moment of transformation where struggle and ecstasy intertwine,” said lyricist and vocalist, Sandra Bjurman. “An instant marked by surrender to primal forces, unleashing the untamed aspects of desire and instinct. A struggle between domination and submission, chaos and clarity, pain and ecstasy, creates a moment of awakening, a realization that in giving in to these forces, one finds a new kind of freedom.”
‘The Hour of King Kong,’ is the fourth single from the band’s fifth album, ‘Endless War In The Summer,’ due for release 2025.
Written by all three band members and produced by Stefan Örn and Johan Glössner, the mix engineer was Johan Kronlund, (Allan Walker, Veronica Maggio and Hovet), with mastering by Björn Engelmann (ABBA, Titiyo, Allan Walker).
