The surreal ‘Drips’ from Jakarta’s post-punk shoegazers STRANGE FRUIT

JAKARTA’s post-punk, electro shoegazers STRANGE FRUIT enlist the help of seminal electronica producer Bernardus Fritz on new EP, ‘Drips,’ (Gentle Tuesday Recordings).

“Strange Fruit’s strength lies in their ability to create synthesizer sounds that are reverberant, wide, and surreal,” he said. “Each track tells a story – there’s a journey between scenes, with cosmic sound design that reflects us as beings living in a different galaxy.”

Well known for featuring minimalist beats and atmospheric layering, the band comprises Baldi Calvianca (vocs/synth), Irza Aryadiaz (synth), John Tampubolon (guitar), Nabil Favian (bass), and Dino Kristianto (drums).
