The spirits of Merchant and Garcia grace LILLIAN KING’s exquisite debut ‘Tiber Creek’

FROM Chicago via Washington DC comes the fragile yet hauntingly beautiful debut single from LILLIAN KING, ‘Tiber Creek.’

Rooted in grief yet conveyed with grace, King delivers a magnificent song largely reminiscent of a young Natalie Merchant fronting a folk-rock band supplemented by the sparse, powerful drumming of Alex Garcia (Thee Sacred Souls).

‘Tiber Creek’ serves as the perfect introduction to King’s upcoming ‘In Your Long Shadows’ album, written in September 2024 shortly after the passing of her father.

King is joined on the record by Robert Salazar (drums), and Nick DePrey (keys), with producer Jack Henry responsible for shaping the perfect soundscape.
