THE EGGMEN WHOOOOOO! Sun licked Californian harmonies and torn sneakered arrogance of New York punk

WELSH psych-pop-punk supergroup The Eggmen Whoooooo! – featuring members of El Goodo, Los Blancos, and Trecco Beis – are back with their second single, ‘Eggman Vs Hellboy,’ another track from the upcoming ‘Fuzzy Eggs, Please’ album, due October 25 via Strangetown Records.

With nobody to please but themselves, the six-piece’s indulgence in sounds straddling sun-licked Californian harmonies and torn-sneakered arrogance of New York punk, makes for a joyful, sonic extravaganza.

“It’s a slight twist on the eternal ‘I’m only human’ type of lyrical sentiment. Here the crux is slightly more extreme – I’m not a superhero, I’m just an Eggman Whoooooo!” said the band’s, Benedict E Frye.

Joining Fyre in The Eggmen Whoooooo! are Gregg Boyle, Sheldon Advocaat, Thom Lett, Gwyn Ŵy and Sue Flay.

The single and its nine other album tracks were recorded in mountainous seclusion in Carmarthenshire with producer, Thighpaulsandra (Spiritualized, Tim Burgess).
