Songwriter extraordinaire CHAS LEMAN returns with ‘Situation Normal’

LONDON-based singer-songwriter CHAS LEMAN returns with the poignant ‘Situation Normal,’ a trademark piece of social observation centred around life’s everyday struggles.

“I was watching TV with my kids, one of their ‘cbeebies’ programmes or whatever,” he said, “And it had a robot on it who kept saying ‘Situation Normal’ in that TV robot voice we all know, and I thought it was such a good hook I decided to make a song from it. The ‘Situation Normal’ is the pain and the drudgery that most of us have to go through just in order to survive.”

With tales and reflections from his working-class upbringing, Leman’s debut single ‘I Found Love’ was released last summer, quickly followed by ‘The Last Boys To Be Picked At Football’ before closing the year with ‘Smoking Again.’ [Below]

‘Situation Normal’ will be released via Chas’ Pilchard Sounds label, and was recorded at South London Studio by A Charles.
