SONG OF THE WEEK: OLIVE LOUISE ‘Greatness’

OUT of the city of New York, OLIVE LOUISE’s latest offering, ‘Greatness,’ is a way out there, mind-blowing mix of Alice in Wonderland, American Horror Story, soaring strings and floating harmonies.

Featuring a gentle, ghostly piano riff which perfectly matches the song’s overall, paranormal mood, ‘Greatness’ is a tale of inner strength, and of stepping – or slithering – into confidence.

“Greatness has been my go-to before I have to deal with confrontation, when I need to set boundaries, or when I have to do something uncomfortable – it just puts me in this head space where I’m in control,” explains Louise.

Growing up on Long Island practicing the violin every day, Louise eventually discovered a love for alternative music listening to artists such as Atmosphere, Santigold, and Kimbra. As a child, she wasn’t allowed to listen to anything but classical music, “My brain always goes to piano and violin first, it’s my factory setting,” she added.
