SINGLE OF THE WEEK: DEAD CHIC ‘Paris’

DEAD CHIC – the project founded by Andy Balcon (Heymoonshaker) and Damien Félix (Catfish) – are back with the Morricone-esque ‘Paris,’ possibly the greatest song never to have featured in a Western.

The lead single from their new album, ‘Paris’ is an epic romp through a vast, barren, wild landscape. An anthem of adventure on the great trails, conjuring images of the toughest, cigar chewing, leather-faced cowboys of yesteryear, rounded off perfectly with a ghostly choir befitting of the gallows.

Anastasja Black and producer Rowan Biddiscombe directed the video, filmed in southern Spain’s Tabernas Desert, capturing several iconic settings of Spaghetti Western cinema.

Balcon and Félix met several years ago while touring with their respective bands and released their first joint track ‘Too Far Gone’ in 2022, and were eventually joined by drummer, Rémi Ferbus (Kimberose, Mélissa Laveaux).
