Something changes on New Year’s Day – LOUDHAILER ELECTRIC CO gear up for busy 2026
HULL-based indie psych outfit LOUDHAILER ELECTRIC CO enter 2026 with a new line-up and the release of ‘Flight Path,’ (via DHM) their first studio single since 2019.
The song is officially released on New Year’s Day but is now available on Bandcamp and YouTube.
“’Flight Path’ came about when I heard that some birds changed their flight pattern to avoid the war over Ukraine,” said singer, bassist, and songwriter Lou Duffy-Howard. “The song is about the leader of a flock of birds flying over beautiful countryside and oceans, and also aware of war zones and devastated nations. The bird leads the flock, observing the world below.”
Recorded at Hurton Audio studios, ‘Flight Path’ also features lead guitarist Jeff Parsons (Dead Fingers Talk), rhythm guitarist Richard Duffy-Howard, and drummer Mark Hurton.
Loudhailer Electric Co have also announced a home-town gig at Cottingham’s ‘The Back Room’ on December 13 details and tickets here and here.
