SINGLE OF THE WEEK: MARTIAL ARTS – ‘Triumph’

MANCHESTER’s socially literate post-punks, MARTIAL ARTS announce further tour dates, and release non-conformist rally cry single ‘Triumph.’

“’Triumph’ is a rallying cry for anyone who feels stifled by societal pressures,” said lyricist and singer, Jim Marson. “It’s an exploration of the tension between personal desires and the pressures of society. Societal norms can suffocate the younger generation, many of whom can feel out of place in a world that demands conformity. It questions the true cost of such conformity to our own potential and values.”

Martial Arts restarted their touring schedule last month and have subsequently added the following dates:

Oct 11: Manchester, Beyond The Music

Oct 18: Edinburgh, Mash House

Nov 8: Clitheroe, Old School Rooms

Nov 9: Barrow, Underground Music Society

Nov 16: Manchester, Yes Pink Room

Dec 13: Porto, Portugal, Post Punk Strikes Back Festival

Dec 14: Nottingham, Bodega

Joining Marson in the band are Matty (guitar/vocs), Browny (guitar), Jude (bass), and Tom (drums).
