Ruts DC announce 2027 Anniversary Tour – Tickets on Sale Friday

London’s iconic RUTS DC announce The RuTs 50th Anniversary Tour – fifty years of Ruts music 1977 – 2027, opening in Nottingham next April, full details below.

The Ruts emerged from London with a raw, unique sound blending the urgency of punk, with heavy reggae, dub and rock, the band comprising Malcolm Owen, Paul Fox, Dave Ruffy, and Segs Jennings.

Singles In A Rut, Babylon’s Burning, Something That I Said, and Jah War. earned the band a formidable, fanatical following still in evidence today, while ‘The Crack’ album defined an era, becoming the soundtrack for many of our lives.

After losing Malcolm Owen in 1980, the remaining members re-invented themselves as Ruts DC, before tragedy struck again with the loss of Paul Fox in 2007, guitarist Leigh Heggarty eventually joining the band as they continued as a trio.

The anniversary tour celebrates fifty years of music, friendship, and creative evolution, all in the company of like-minded souls. Tickets available from Friday HERE and HERE
