RED GUITARS: New album, line up change, and some real alchemy
GOOD news and bad from inside the RED GUITARS camp.
A new album is currently being prepared for a 2025 release – however the band have also recently announced a change in their lineup.
Despite the success of the last two reunion tours, RED GUITARS and Jerry Kidd have once again parted ways. Hallam Lewis takes over on lead vocals for the new releases and tour, reprising his role when he and bassist Lou Duffy-Howard released two albums as ‘The Planet Wilson’ in the mid-eighties.
“I have loved working with the band on the new material, and I’m really happy with the way the songs and recordings have continued to evolve and develop,” said Lewis. “I think it’s sounding great, and I really hope others will find it as engaging and enjoyable to listen to as I do.”
Joining Lewis and Duffy-Howard on next year’s long-player are original members, John Rowley (guitar), and Matt Higgins (drums).
“The four of us are thoroughly enjoying recording the new album,” added Duffy-Howard. “I find that there is a real alchemy in the band, everyone is passionate about what we do, and on top of that we have loads of laughs together.”
