Pop the Pink Champagne – MODESTY BLAISE announce three-disc ‘Melancholia Remaster’

BRISTOL’s baroque-pop collective MODESTY BLAISE finally showcase single ‘The Little Things You Do’ from upcoming ‘Melancholia – Remaster’ album, via Lo-Fi to Disco!

Formed in 1993, debut single ‘Christina Terrace’ featured Edwyn Collins at the helm, today’s offering initially intended as the third single from the album’s original release – twenty-five years ago.

“It was always going to be a single, that’s why we recorded a single version,” explains frontman and founder, Jonny Collins, “but I wonder what happened. And for quite a while now, people have been asking us why our biggest album wasn’t available to stream. We decided that if we were going to do it, we’d do it properly.”

The new three-disc collection features newly restored audio, a number of outtakes from the original sessions, and updated artwork.

Joining Collins in the lineup are, David W Brown (bass), Gregory Jones (guitar/vocs), Clem Courtney (organ/vocs), and Julien Clapperton (drums).
