PLAIN MISTER SMITH meets Mr Brown on ‘We Were Called The Foxx’

MYSTERIOUS musical maverick PLAIN MISTER SMITH teams up with Findlay Brown on latest single ‘We Were Called The Foxx,’ a track featured on next year’s Spring release album.

The former guitarist with Canadian darkwave outfit Moev and current Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra cellist splits his time between London and Vancouver, with ‘We Were Called The Foxx’ a deep dive into nostalgia, youthful experimentation and misguided adventure, the swinging, trippy vocals of Brown producing the perfect soundtrack for a modern day coming of age movie.

’The Foxx’ was my first band in grade six or so,” he said. “It was a bit of a sonic disaster, I don’t even think we knew we needed to tune our guitars. But you have to start somewhere, sometime. ‘We Were Called The Foxx’ is a testament to the crazy cacophonic shenanigans we got up to as pre-pubescent, want-to-be rock gods.”
