People’s songwriter JAMIE WEBSTER releases ‘Breadline’ – an anthem of hope

FRESH from his indie-folk fury Glastonbury ‘Other Stage’ set success, JAMIE WEBSTER has just released ‘Breadline, a trademark anthem of hope and sorrow, a song directed at those now in power, in anticipation of positive change.

“The first half of the song is about someone who’s coming through a hard time,” he explained.

“They’ve got no work, they just lost a relative, they’ve got no hope and they’re on the breadline. And then in the second verse, they find hope, finding a bit of work and maybe the chance to turn their life around. I’ve written it through someone’s eyes who is in that situation. It’s about the character that I’m telling the story for.”

The last remaining tickets for Jamie Webster ‘In The Park,’ at Liverpool’s Sefton Park, Friday June 12, are currently available via www.jamiewebstermusic.com
