PA SHEEHY remembers his ‘Old Friend John.’ New album, EU tour, to follow

PA SHEEHY – former Walking On Cars frontman – has opened a window into his world with the release of, ‘My Old Friend John,’ a heartbreaking track from his forthcoming ‘Maybe It Was All For This’ album, due October 4, the song touching on themes of love, friendship, sobriety, despair, and helplessness.

(“I had to give the song five verses to make sure the full story was told,” Pa Sheehy.)

In addition to the single and album, Sheehy has also announced an extensive tour beginning in Vienna on November 20.

Speaking about ‘Maybe It Was All For This,’ Sheehy said, “The record wasn’t meant to be a concept album, but every song has an attachment to the town of Dingle. Either growing up there, wanting to leave it, what it’s like now, and the people in it. I mindfully wanted to make something completely expressive, and I think this gave us the freedom to do anything.

“From super projected vocal deliveries to whispers, plucked acoustic guitar playing to distortion pedals. I’ve fallen in love with so many artists over the last few years that I don’t know what genre this fits into, but maybe not knowing is what led us to the magic we found along the way.”
