“No bells and whistles” for spiritual MILES KANE as ‘I Pray’ released ahead of October’s album

MILES KANE releases ‘I Pray’ the latest single taken from October’s ‘Sunlight In The Shadows’ album (via Easy Eye Sound).

“I had the riff for the song before I went into the studio with Dan Auerbach, but it really came to life once we got working on the track together,” said Kane. “As I’ve gotten older I’ve become a bit more spiritual and have realised it’s important for me to tune into that side of my life, so this song is about being able to embrace learning something new about yourself while staying true to who you are.”

And on the accompanying film, directed by James Slater (Sam Fender, Jamie T, Yard Act), Kane was determined to let the music take centre stage. “I wanted something straightforward for this video, no bells and whistles,” he added. “I went back to Liverpool to film it and just wanted to perform with the band so the song could speak for itself.”
