Melbourne’s BLACKFIRE return with ANZAC Day tribute, ‘Let’s Not Forget’

INDIGENOUS Aussie rockers BLACKFIRE return today with ‘Let’s Not Forget,’ a tribute in the lead-up to ANZAC Day, honouring the often-overlooked sacrifices of Indigenous soldiers who served their country with courage and pride, but little recognition.

Formed in Melbourne in 1992, Blackfire toured worldwide for over a decade, raising the profile of Indigenous music and cultural expression, and following the C-19 pandemic, original members Selwyn Burns, Grant Hansen, and Brad Brown reformed with a new lineup.

Joining the original trio are Radical Son [David Leha] on lead vocals, Peter Moore (drums), Rod Crundwell (keys), Monica McDonald and Leonie Whyman (backing vocs and percussion), and Daniel Jauregui (second lead guitar).

‘Let’s Not Forget,’ is the first single from Blackfire’s fourth studio album, Solar Eclipse, (via Golden Robot Records) due for release later this year.
