Master of Cool Prez Prado honoured on new KING ZEPHA single PREZ

AHEAD of June’s KING ZEPHA album – via Hastings-based Property of the Lost – Sam Thorton’s project release the vibrant, infectious ‘PREZ,’ a welcome tribute to King of Cool, Prez Prado.

Cuban composer and bandleader Prado penned all time classics Mambo No 5, and Que Rico Mambo among may others, with today’s tribute recorded by Thornton at his 8-track home studio, laying down vocals, tenor sax, organ, guitar and percussion, before his band mates were called in to add trombone, double bass, drums and extra vocals.
