LUCINDA WILLIAMS sings The Beatles – with a little help from her friends

FOLLOWING the release of her poignant version of ‘Something,’ American music legend and three-time Grammy winner LUCINDA WILLIAMS has become the first major artist to record a Beatles song at Abbey Road Studios since the Fab Four themselves.

The song is taken from the ‘Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles From Abbey Road’ album, which becomes ‘Volume Seven’ of her distinguished ‘Lu’s Jukebox’ series, and the first new volume in almost four years.

The film features Williams with Marc Ford (guitar), Butch Norton (drums), Doug Pettibone (guitar), David Sutton (bass), Richard Causon (Hammond B-3), and Siobhan M Kennedy (backing vocs).

‘Lu’s Jukebox’ began life during the 2020 pandemic as a way to help independent music venues. The series featured themed sets of cover songs curated by Williams and streamed for a fee, with proceeds going to designated venues.

‘Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles From Abbey Road’ is released December 6, via Highway 20 Records/Thirty Tigers.
