LOS PEPES ‘Out Of The Void’ Frantic, frenetic, ferocious – and fabulous

LONDON-based multi-national rockers LOS PEPES celebrate the launch of album number six with a special gig at the capital’s Paper Dress Vintage venue tomorrow evening (May 3^rd).

Available in the UK and Germany via Wanda Records, the 12-track long player ‘Out Of The Void’ is also released through Ghost Highway Records (Spain), Beluga Records (Scandinavia) and Spaghetty Town Records (USA).

And it’s a gripping, breathless journey, one we’ll be celebrating for a long, long time. Not so much a new album, but rather a good old fashioned Wild West, guitar-led, fight to the death.

‘Out Of The Void’ is overflowing with conscience-led anthems, catchy tales of nihilism, love and heartache in a fucked-up world of political turmoil, sedition, and stupidity.

‘All I Got Is Time’ is a musical, metaphorical doff of the Stetson to The Clash, but without doubt ‘Sweet Appeasement’ and ‘Foreign Bodies’ are the two stand out tracks.

Buzzcocks? Sure, I get those comparisons, but they’re hastily, and lazily made.  Los Pepes have a sound that belongs to them, and them only. Throwback, high energy, garage surf and roll.

Releasing records since late 2013 and featuring an international membership from the UK to Japan, Brazil and Poland, the band’s line up comprises Ben Perrier (vocs/guitar), Gui Rujao (guitar/vocs), Seisuke Nakagawa (bass/vocs), Kris Hood (drums), and Adam Smith (bass).
