LA’s dreamwave, synthgaze LUCKYANDLOVE: A sound sculpted from the embers of Bauhaus and Siouxsie Sioux
LA-based dreamwave, synthgaze outfit LUCKYANDLOVE unveil new single ‘Lonely At Night’ ahead of October’s ‘Humaura’ album via Southern Record Distributors, a sound sculpted from the embers of Bauhaus and Siouxsie Sioux.
A sultry pleasure with haunting, swirling vocals, the song is defined by the duo ‘as the atmosphere emanating from the feelings of the human spirit void of technological control.’
“Picture of a vacant dorm room, where almost everyone left for holiday, leaving the character almost completely alone in a haunted dorm building,” said April Love. “The track speeds up in the end, guitars and harmonies a cheerful finale.”
“Loneliness is a killer,” added Loren Luck. “The song describes human feelings of being lonely and reconnecting. We are social animals that require human interaction in the flesh. Life is more enjoyable with someone to share it. Entrapments of modern day keeps people imprisoned. A romantic song.”
‘Humaura’ was recorded, mixed and mastered for digital release by Grammy award-winning engineer Be Hussey (Modern English, Swervedriver, The Church, Alcest, Twin Tribes) atBalboa Studio, and Catwater for the digital music, and mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Nicholas Townsend (Cheap Trick, Garbage, Dr. Dre, 2Pac) at Townsend Mastering.)
LUCKYANDLOVE’s album launch party takes place October 11 at LA’s The Slipper Clutch via Deathrecordzz Presents featuring appearances from Warsaw Pact, Amore De Paris, No Exits, and a DJ set by Echolust.
