L.A. DRUGZ reissue ‘Outside Place’ and show “The life of a Repo Man is always intense…”

PORTLAND’s cult punk-power-pop outfit L.A. DRUGZ have reissued their ‘Outside Place’ EP – along with the title-track’s seminal ‘Repo Man’ inspired video.

Originally released in 2013, the EP quickly earned the group a loyal fanbase, with the band being compared to The Nerves, Buzzcocks, and The Kids.

The ‘Outside Place’ video – featuring cameos from members of bands including Maniac, Cute Lepers, Images and Clorox Girls – was directed by Brett Roberts, with Ardavon Fatehi as the director of photography, FX by Noel Taylor, and produced by Justin Maurer,

Roberts shot the video in as many ‘Repo Man’ locations as possible, even shooting illegally in the L.A. River, and shortly after filming, Roberts had his Hyundai Accent repossessed due to being behind in payments.

‘Outside Place’ went on to be featured in Liz W. Garcia’s film ‘The Lifeguard,’ in a scene where Kristen Bell drives a Jeep through a field in Connecticut.
