Kristyn Hope fronts DAEDRIC’s stripped, savage, ‘Sand Tiger’ reimagining

NU-METAL alt-rockers DAEDRIC return with an acoustic reworking of ‘Sand Tiger’ complete with new video, released today via FiXT.

‘Sand Tiger’ (Acoustic) features a intense, powerful vocal performance from Kristyn Hope, the new version, as always, featuring producers Clay Schroeder and Geoff Rockwell.

“Taking a nu-metal inspired song and turning it into a completely different sound was an interesting take on our acoustic treatment for the EP,” said Hope. “’Sand Tiger’ is originally quite an aggressive song for vocals, so it was never going to be a soft, singer-songwriter type track, but we did find a nice balance between placing it into an acoustic setting and honouring the energy of its original form.”

Hope launched the Daedric project in 2021, with debut album Mortal, and a May 2025 tour supporting TesseracT earning them plaudits from far and wide.
