KAISER CHIEFS release ‘I Predict A Riot’ remix, announce 20th anniversary ‘Employment’ album, and confirm outdoor summer gigs

YORKSHIRE legends KAISER CHIEFS announce a 20th anniversary release of debut album ‘Employment,’ along with a ‘Big Nurse Remix’ of ‘I Predict A Riot,’ and a string of outdoor celebratory shows.

“Twenty years ago, a brand-new song by a brand-new band was released,” said a spokesman for the ‘Chiefs. “‘I Predict A Riot’ was the start of something really special for some musicians from Leeds, and the album that followed, ‘Employment,’ changed our lives and has soundtracked the lives of millions of others since 2005. This year we are saluting twenty years of that album and everyone is invited. Come celebrate the 2000’s, loving everything less and less, and stripey blazers taking over the world.”

Released in March 2005, ‘Employment’ landed to wide-spread acclaim and become one of the most successful debut albums from a UK band, selling over two million copies worldwide, and certified seven-time Platinum status by the British Phonographic Industry.

Formed in Leeds in 2000, Kaiser Chiefs are fronted by Ricky Wilson, with Simon Rix on bass, Andrew ‘Whitey’ White on guitar, Nick ‘Peanut’ Baines on keyboards, and drummer Vijay Mistry.
