JONATHAN HIJR DAY QUARTET chilling at the ‘Café in the Valley of the Fire Church’

GLOBETROTTING JONATHAN DAY – sounding like a prime Matt Johnson – lifts the veil on new alt folk, world music single, Café in the Valley of the Fire Church (via Revolver/Warner Records).

Day (vocs/guitar/percussion) and his band Niimi Day Gough (vocs), Simon Smith (bass), Meinir Olwen (harp), and Adam Knight (vibraphone) sing in English, Welsh and Hindi with new album ‘Raven And Tamarisk’ set for release.

Last year the band performed a headline slot at Festival in the Desert and also appeared at the Playing for Change’s African Zamane Festival.
