GRIFF & MICHELE revisit Toots and the Maytals classic, ’54-46’

CROYDON-based musician, author and raconteur extraordinaire GRIFF GRIFFITHS teams up with ‘one L’ MICHELE on latest single, ’54-46,’ a gloriously upbeat version of the 1968 Toots and The Maytals hit generally regarded as reggae’s first ‘breakthrough song.’
Guest vocalists joining the duo include The Chords UK, Witchdoktors, The Dear Boys, and Sharp Class with the video filmed on location in Brighton, the real-life partnership of Griff and Michele depicted in a musical ‘love story.’
Recorded at the Fantastic Sunshine Corner Studios, and produced by Steve ‘Smiley’ Barnard, (Robbie Williams, Joe Strummer, Gene Loves Jezebel, Mike Peters, Tony Visconti), ’54-46’ is released via the ‘Sounds of the Suburbs’ label.
