Great expectations from FRAN CARLYON’s lo-fi debut

FLEDGLING lo-fi indie label YYZ Records present their second release, the stripped-back, profound, debut mini album from FRAN CARLYON, ‘Home Truths.’

“I have been writing acoustic based songs in the folk tradition for a number of years now,” he said. “I record them in threadbare fashion in as few takes as possible, incorporating synths and electronics to add light and shade. For me, capturing the initial spark of inspiration is key, as it conveys the message and meaning in the purest possible way.”

YYZ Records is owned by Mat Mills (Goodbye Wudaokou) and Jonathan Shipley (Assistant).
