Global Post-Punks BASH TRU Head for Dublin as Debut Album ‘King Pleasure’ Set for 2027
WITH members from South Africa, Ireland, Germany, and Norway, Berlin-based post-punks BASH TRU announce new single ‘D’Ya Suppose So’ today – ahead of next year’s debut ‘King Pleasure’ album.
“It’s a song about talking highly of yourself and then being knocked flat in the same breath,” said vocalist/guitarist, Seb Truda. “Or the opposite. I suppose we wanted it to feel like the world starting to spin off axis and in the other direction.”
The band formed in the capital city after childhood friends Truda and Daniel Sabbagh relocated from Johannesburg, later joined by Irish guitarist Kian Mac Lochlainn, German drummer Konsti Schülke, and Norwegian guitarist Jonathan Arnøy.
Bash Tru further announces a headline show at Dublin’s Thomas House on October 2, closing night of Ireland Music Week.
