Friendship, love, and calm – MATT JONES & THE BOBS unveil ‘You Stood Still’

SOUTHWEST Virginia-based Americana folk rock band MATT JONES & THE BOBS present new single and video, ‘You Stood Still.’

“It’s a tribute to the people who keep us grounded when the world feels like it’s falling apart,” said Jones. “It’s about friendship, love, and the calm you find in the one person who never waivers. It’s a still reminder that even when life spins out, the right person can hold you steady.”

Formed in 2011 during their collective time at Radford University, debut album ‘Brother’s Hymn’ was released in 2014, before the band entered a hiatus twelve months later.

However, 2024 saw Matt Jones & The Bobs reunite, developing their signature sound with the subtle addition of grunge grit, and a new, expansive instrumentation.
