Finally, a song for these troubled times. LiVES: ‘Cancelled.’ “I fu*king hate how lame we’ve all become.”
RELEASED July 19th via Roulette Records – the latest single from LivES, the raw, guitar driven assault, ‘Cancelled,’ taken from October’s album, ‘Let Them Eat Cake.’
And the accompanying video? As good as anything you’ll see all year – with ‘cameos’ from Donald Trump, Nigel Farage, and Boris Johnson.
“’Cancelled’ is about my feeling of disenfranchisement of online and political society, my total despondence and hatred of the right and the left – far right and postmodernism attitudes,” said singer/songwriter, Peter Chisholm.
“They claim to be decent whilst being indecent, tolerant whilst being intolerant – always outraged, self-righteous, aggressive, violent. They are swimming in hypocrisy and can’t see it. Meanwhile the real elite destroy the world around us, seemingly unnoticed whilst we fight amongst ourselves. I hate them all.”
‘Let Them Eat Cake’ – release date October 25 – was produced by John Cornfield (The Verve, New Model Army, Supergrass, Robert Plant, Stone Roses).
