DOTSUN MOON’s ‘Army of Me’ – a perfect moment of ambient, dream-pop shoegaze
Purveyor of the finest ambient, dream-pop shoegaze DOTSUN MOON (aka Richard Flierl) presents latest EP ‘Moments In The Sun’ along with ‘Army of Me’ video.
“During difficult times, it takes all one’s effort to push outward and connect with someone or else succumb to the isolation that so much of society has compounded with technology,” said New York-based Flierl. “Use that same tech to make personal connections. If a person just hopes without acting, they are staring in the sun. They are expecting the tech to take care of them.
“This is not for the casual listener, and I mean that in the best of ways. Listen to these songs at least two or three times and let them sink in. These songs take a slower pace to help the lyrics resonate. Weather and love, for another or oneself, are the common themes between these songs.”
The EP was engineered and mastered by Doug White at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY, and mixed by Flierl and Doug White.
