Dave Davies: “As far as performances go, it was a high point achievement of The Kinks.”
THE KINKS today unveil a live version of ‘Sunny Afternoon,’ recorded at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1993, and released as part of their ‘The Journey – Part 3’ double vinyl/CD, available now via BMG.
And recalling the event, Dave Davies said, “As far as performances go, it was a high point achievement of The Kinks.”
Formed in Muswell Hill, North London, in 1963 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies, and Pete Quaife, the band quickly established themselves as one of the defining groups of the ‘60s and have gone on to sell over fifty million records worldwide.
