Chicago’s PELICAN prepare for May album release with new single, ‘Indelible’
AHEAD of May’s ‘Flickering Resonance’ album – their first in six years – Chicago’s metallic post-rock outfit PELICAN today unveil new single ‘Indelible,’ which arrives paired with a psychedelic visual by multidisciplinary artist, Joshua Ford.
Though Pelican’s heavy sonic backbone remains intact, Flickering Resonance reveals a more humanistic side to the band, tapping into the spirit of their early years when Schroeder-Lebec teamed with fellow guitarist Trevor Shelley de Brauw, and brothers Bryan and Larry Herweg (bass and drums respectively) during the heyday of Chicago venue, Fireside Bowl.
Set for release May16 via Run For Cover, ‘Flickering Resonance’ will be celebrated at a listening event in partnership with Chicago independent brewing powerhouse Half Acre, and Half Acre’s Second Setting Cannabis, at Half Acre’s Bowmanville brewery on Easter Sunday (April 20).
