Bulgarian metal merchants ODD CREW display softer side on first new acoustic releases since 2019

BULGARIAN metal merchants ODD CREW dial it down and unveil alternative versions of two songs from their Dark Matters series, ‘New Waters’ and ‘Farewell,’ the band’s first new acoustic releases since 2019’s ‘The Lost Pages’ album.

“As a band we’ve always loved to get an acoustic guitar and just sit, play and sing,” said vocalist, Vasko Raykov. “A lot of our songs have started this way and ‘Dark Matters’ is no exception. Now we get to experience some of those songs as if we’re on a desert island at night just waiting to be saved. We love making these versions as they bring very intimate feelings in the process of writing and performing them.”

The video was filmed by director Petar Dimov, the creative force behind the visuals for all three previously released parts of Dark Matters, with ‘New Waters’ and ‘Farewell’ recorded at the band’s own ButcherHouse Studio in Sofia.

ODD CREW have also confirmed a rescheduled UK show date, now performing at London’s Downstairs at The Dome May 24, along with MAB

Completing the line up are Vasil Parvanovski (guitar/backing vocs), Martin Stoyanov (bass/backing vocs), and Boyan ‘Bonzy’ Georgiev (drums).
