Beauty from chaos, salvation through music. HILLSBORO tease September’s EP with new video

WITH their signature blend of true grit, vulnerability, and melancholic menace, HILLSBORO have just shared new video and single ‘sleep dealrrr’ which forms part of the Victoria BC-based band’s forthcoming ‘White Trash’ EP.

Blending early 90’s shoegaze sounds with an irresistible rhythm section, haunting violin, and the plaintive vocals of frontman Nima Walker, HILLSBORO strike a perfect balance between nostalgia and an identity of their own.  

Releasing via ‘play dead’ on August 23rd, ‘White Trash’ was recorded over a series of short sessions, the EP exuding a force often teetering on the brink of chaos, yet somehow retaining a sharp focus. It’s a journey into Walker’s adolescent struggles, with themes of self-destruction and resentment, displaying both ceaseless energy and flawless DIY production.
