Be afraid. BROTHERS of METAL are back – and Ragnarök is coming

OUT now via AFM Records, the new album ‘Fimbulvinter’ from Swedish hardcore wizards, BROTHERS OF METAL.

A rising force on the metal scene, BROTHERS OF METAL blend catchy, powerful anthems and martial outfits – including archaic weaponry – to pay homage to the Norse gods.

“’Fimbulvinter’ is ‘the great winter’ in Norse mythology,” said singer, Mats Nilsson. “A winter that is colder and darker than all other winters and lasts for three years. It’s one of the first significant indications that Ragnarök is coming.”

As expected, ‘Fimbulvinter’ showcases the band’s numerous strengths, but also includes some noteworthy, new elements.

“The core sound is still there, but we’ve evolved as songwriters, so the songs have more depth and width than before,” adds Nilsson. “The songs follow the same themes as before, even though we’ve ventured into new territories and explored new stories. We always aim to have one song that fits everyone on each album, with the result our hymns tend to sound like a lot of different genres of metal. That’s how we like it.”

The new album was recorded at the Massiv Musik’s Studio in Mockfjärd, and produced by Erik Berglund.

BROTHERS OF METAL play London’s 02 Academy Islington, on November 20.
