SEATTLE-based AUDIOGUST – the project of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Chris Evans – today unveil latest album ‘Here We Go Again,’ an ode to the highs and lows of creativity, a mix of old favourites, and new material.

Evans began his journey as a guitarist and bassist in various ‘80s bands, and after a lengthy detour into the software industry, returns to his true passion, writing and recording music, and collaborating with artists worldwide.

“The theme of ‘Here We Go Again’ is the unpredictable nature of inspiration, both the euphoria of experiencing it and the despair when it disappears,” he said. “The album is split into songs that explore the extremes of inspiration and songs that have come to me while living through those extremes. Structurally, the album follows a pattern: odd-numbered tracks tell stories about the many ways artists interact with inspiration, while even-numbered tracks are either songs that arrived in those flashes of creativity or, like ‘Unspoken,’ took months of struggle to bring to life.”

Focus track ‘Seattle’ is a love letter penned to the city, told through the eyes of a traveller who spends too much time on the road. Longing to return home, he clings to the memory of a fleeting connection made on his previous trip, hoping to bring that person back to experience everything he loves about his hometown.

Meanwhile, ‘Award Show’ takes a journey into the darker side of creative success, laying bare the unwelcome, paralyzing grip of imposter syndrome.

‘Here We Go Again’ features six new songs, along with fan-favourite singles, including ‘Tomorrow Is Mine,’ a finalist in last year’s ‘USA Songwriting Contest.’
